Sea Route Project: Rice and Bible to the North
NGI runs the 'Sea Route Project' once a month to deliver rice and gospel to North Korea through the sea route on the west coast. This P.E.T. bottle contains a handful of rice, a small-sized Bible, and a sincerely handwritten letter by fellow North Korean refugees. The things which are considered common in the South are precious to the North as it is worth a week's food for them, and a way to know about God. If you send the bottles on the day in which the water current flow to the North, it will certainly reach North Korea's coast in a matter of days. Let us pray these bottles will not just be a hunger solution for those struggling to find a livelihood in the North but it will be a nourishing provision to their souls as well.
Especially in May 2019, we spent meaningful time with Venezuelan missionary Henry, who has long devoted himself to North Korean missions in C country, with the families of North Korean refugees who have long been associated with NGI.
One of the North Korean defector sister, whose hometown is Hwanghae-do, shed tears as she looked at the land in the North. Through the sister's tears, we could hear the voice of God saying, 'One soul is more precious than the heavens.'
