[2019 Autumm Newsletter] Nehemiah Youth Club | Autumn Retreat

[Nehemiah Youth Club] Retreat @ Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do

Nehemiah Youth Club(NYC) is a club for Youths from all around the world including North and South Korean Youths, to grow as a reunification-generation, and to be raised up by God through various activities.

To prepare reunification, and to be raised up by God as true worshipers, 8 South and North Korean Youths, 5 NGI staffs, 1 volunteer and 3 teachers went to Nami island and Daeseong-ri(Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do) from 5th Oct. to 6th Oct. for NYC retreat.

To follow our theme ‘Having Fun & Finding Dreams in Jesus’, Students, staffs and volunteers jumped into the beautiful scenery of Nami island, being free from worries of studies or life.

For dinner we had a barbecue at the camp, followed by a fellowship time. After dinner we gathered around and sang praise songs. Also, we had a guest speaker, Pastor Gyu-Ho, Jeong from Vision Acts Ministry(U.S.A.) who shared a precious message. (Vision Acts Ministry is a ministry for youth and young adults to help finding their vision.) Afterwards we had a prayer time for the students.

We prayed for student’s academic concerns, family health issues etc. It was such a blessed time.

Since the trip, students kept asking us, “Teacher, where are we going next time? When are we going again?”. Just as the questions show, the NYC retreat was not only a short trip, but a  precious and memorable trip in God.
